About us

Our goal is to help people in need by providing specially trained dogs. We work as one of the sections of Slovak Blind and Partially Sighted Union.
We train guide dogs that help visually disabled people, especially for mobility and orientation and to overcome the consequences of eyesight impairment or complete loss of vision. We train dogs to assist people, with the main stress on their therapeutical use in a family environment. Our organization is accredited by the International Guide Dog Federation (IGDF).

Slovak Blind and Partially Sighted Union

Slovak Blind and Partially Sighted Union is a civil association which unites blind and partially-sighted people, their family members, friends, supporters and eyesight disorder specialists. Assistance is provided regardless of gender, religion or belief, racial ancestry, national or ethnic background, health disorder, age, political affiliation, or sexual orientation.
The Union was established on 7 April 1990. Slovak Blind and Partially Sighted Union has more than 6000 members in 69 basic organizations across Slovakia. The aim of this organization is to help visually disabled people to overcome the consequences of eyesight loss or impairment, to improve their quality of life, and to help them integrate back into society.
